Hooray for Open Space policies in Louisville - I noticed the recent Business Assistance Program the Louisville City Council approved last month includes a stipulation that any sales tax rebates negotiated with businesses will not reduce the amount they pay towards the standard open space tax of .375 % (See page 14) There is a wide range of agreements that can be made to help entice a company to stay or locate in Louisville; I find this to be a strong way to address complaints of "give-aways" some people call such incentives. It's all about trade-offs.
Read about it in the Boulder County Business Report too.
